Spray gun applicator maintenance

spray tanning guns non brand specific require general maintenance to keep your spray tanning gun operational and tip top in spraying. Therefore we recommend on a daily basis after spray tanning has finished to run warm (not boiling) water through the spray gun for approx 2 mins on fully open spray setting this clears the internal chambers of spray tan gun and prevents blockages when spray tan solution dries and crystalises. This is for a replacement pick up straw for the rapid spray tan machine spray gun applicator by tanning essentials, These straws are consumable products and may require changing from time to time through natural wear and tear or through droppages, The solution pick up straws can be replaced as long as the pick up tube has not snapped internally within the spray gun, If the bottom of the spray gun is dropping down unfortunately a new applicator is needed this is caused by force such as droppage or by attempting to undo what looks like a nut around the base of the gun where the solution straw pops into (this is not a nut and under no circumstances attempt to undo this as it will instantly snap the internal chamber in the spray gun deeming it useless)  

Tips : - To keep your spray guns tip top please clean these with warm Not boiling water at the end of each sessions use, To do this turn the gun setting to "C" and spray the water through for a couple of minutes this cleans the internal chamber ensuring solution particles dont dry out and crystalise inturn blocking the nozzle. 

Every couple of weeks we recommend an internal clean of the components to keep the applicators tip top, If you are unsure How to do this please see our youtube link by clicking

Always remove solution when not using your machine as leaving the solution straws soaking in solution will break the straws down and cause these to become brittle, stress marks and cracks will then appear quicker.

These filters, Are replacements for the Aura Allure Tanning System, Filters are extremely important on tanning systems, and if these are not replaced when necessary, Not only will the filters become blocked and the motor will overwork creating more heat, and motor damage but Airborne tan can also be sucked into the motor area which Again will ultimately damage components. why do i need to replace my filter in my machine ?

The air filters in machines need replacing as the way spray tan machines work is they suck air in to the motor to create the airpressure to spray, Therefore when spray tanning in a room the filter is there to protect the motor by catching airborne tan particles so they dont enter the motor unit.

What happens if i dont replace my Air filter in my machine ?

By not replacing your filter when needed, your machine will be trying to draw air through the filter which is blocked by dry tan particles this in turn will cause the motor to overwork which may increase noise levels, Heat up and ultimately create the hose to heat up and could split the hose due to the heat or ultimately the motor to completely break within the machine so this is essential maintenance that needs to be carried out.

How often do i need to replace my filter and can it be washed

We Recommend when using extraction units when tanning to replace the filter after apprx 80-100 tans, this is just a guide as some spray heavier than others and create more overspray, So we advise to keep an eye on this and how much tan is on the filter especially if no extraction is being used, even though extraction should be present inline with the FDA guidelines on spray tanning. With these filters washing is not recommended as this can matt the material together therefore causing airflow issues.

How do i replace the filter ?

These filters simply pull out from the end of the machine and a new one can just be popped back into position, Please see The manual on page 8 by clicking Here
